News: Low priced Asus Transformer Pad 300 launched

After being announced and shown off at MWC, Asus have finally released the Transformer Pad 300 to markets at a very reasonable price. Initially only the Blue version will be available, with the White and Red versions coming at a later stage.

Powered by Ice-Cream Sandwich and running on a 1.2GHz quad core Tegra 3 processor the Pad 300 will be cost U$379 for the 16GB version and U$399 for the 32GB version. The keyboard dock will cost U$149. It will definitely be a worthy competitor to the iPad, being more affordable than both 2nd- and 3rd-generation versions, sadly the 1280×800 resolution display won’t be able to compete with that of the new iPad, but Asus are sure to become the largest Android tablet OEM like they said they aimed to be.
