On the high-end, the new 27-inch Series 9 display features a Plane Line Switching (PLS) panel with a quad high-definition resolution of 2560 x 1440, edge-to-edge anti-glare glass, and an adjustable aluminum stand with USB, DisplayPort, dual-link DVI, and HDMI connectors. It also features a 7-watt speaker, and in a push that Samsung is making across all of the new displays, will incorporate Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) connectivity for users that want to hook up compatible mobile devices. The display will cost you $1,199.
The Series 7 Smart Station is an iteration of the company’s Central Station product. It’s an all-in-one Wireless USB monitor and hub, featuring a 1080p backlit LED display, integrated speakers, and an HDMI input for Blu-ray players or other video sources. The new HDTV Monitor swaps the wireless docking capability for a built-in TV tuner, WiDi, dual HDMI inputs, and a VGA port. Pricing for the new Smart Station and HDTV monitor will start at $549 and $599, respectively, with both 24-inch and 27-inch models available.
All of the new products will be available in March, but Samsung will show them up in CES and we’ll surely get to know more about these impressive monitors right from the event !
