News: South Korea becomes the first country to offer LTE on all carriers

South Korea became the first country to offer LTE through all carriers. LG U+ and SK telecom already offered LTE, only KT was left out but a few days back the carrier officially launched its olleh LTE network and also launched two LTE devices Samsung Galaxy S II LTE and HD LTE.

The LTE rollout comes after a month when it was initially anticipated to come and the carrier plans to cover the entire nation with its LTE coverage by April equaling the other carrier SK Telecom. With all the carriers now having the LTE coverage, South Korea becomes the first nation to have all carriers offering LTE connectivity but KT has no plans to offer unlimited data plans due to the massive data usage in the country but still the carrier is taking hefty measures to ensure that customers avoid overage fees which becomes quite easier when you take into account the lightening data speeds of LTE like they have allowed 20% additional data for the first three months and they also give the option of cutting off access to data connectivity when customers have hit up the end of their data plan. KT also touts the continued investment for a consistent and reliable network.
