News: Spotify launches in Germany

The Swedish streaming music service launched its operations in Germany last week. The company also offers a computer-only ad-free version for €4.99 ($6.55) a month, or a service that can be used on mobile devices including iPhones and Android-powered devices for €9.99 a month.

It has been reported that Spotify and Gema, Germany’s music licensing agency had several negotiations for a long time, and now has finally found its way out.

Meanwhile, the company didn’t comment on any negotiations and giving the excuse of translating the platform as their reason for the delay.

The service has previously been available in 12 countries, including the U.S., U.K., France and Spain. It has 10 million active users, including 3 million of whom who pay for its service.
