News: Super Phone in the Making by Casio?

When we think of Casio , high end phones don’t usually come to mind.The release of G’zOne Commando last year gave a more rugged appearance but lacked fast processing speed or a high-resolution screen. According to the reports from the company’s recent efforts with focus groups. Casio may just be thinking of changing its approach into the smartphone market.

A smartphone fan managed to be in one such focus group, and, according to him, the company has plenty of ideas, which include at least a couple smartphones and one in particular that could be big. Supposedly, this model’s got a large AMOLED screen that’s somewhere around 4.6 inches diagonally, supports NFC and LTE, and is based-around a quad-core processor. It may have an eight-megapixel main camera, a two-megapixel front-facer, with an operating system in the form of Ice Cream Sandwich. To power all that hardware, Casio’s outfitted the handset with a 2000mAh battery.The phone is very thin.

If this turns out to be true then this could be a big step for Casio in a totally different direction. Casio will most likely stick to its G’zOne line, but this might be a step upwards.
