News: Take anti-hacking precautions the pros use before travelling to China

When going to China or Russia or other few countries that don’t allow encrypted devices to enter their borders without government approval, its hard-to-believe the precautions that employees of corporations with sensitive information take while travelling.

In a report given by ‘The New York Times’, there is a detailed information of precautions given by Brookings Instituion’s Kenneth G. Lieberthal. He has a seperate set of in-China and at-home devices. Some of the various precautions he takes includes removing the battery from his phone during meetings to avoid being recorded, he also keeps Bluetooth and Wi-Fi off at all times, and only copies and pastes his passwords from a flash drive in order to prevent keyloggers. Similar precautions are often used by amplyees at McAfee, Google, and various US government agencies.
