The 15.22.54.2622 (32-bit) and 15.22.54.64.2622 (64-bit) versions of drivers for the HD lineup of integrated graphic processors were posted by Intel .The lineup includes Sandy Bridge and old Nehalem-based processors. The drivers posted, work for all Windows Vista and Windows 7 editions.
Intel has been very inconsistent as far as its driver releases are concerned, with its last generic driver release being in September last year. The last driver posted brought lot of performance improvements and bug fixes. The latest driver brings in just three fixes to the table and has failed to impress. The issues fixed are:
1) Crashing issue with a program called Interstage Studio Standard J-section.
2) An issue where the driver would change the refresh rate while on battery power.
3) Content would appear strangely when rewound.
Intel was swift to notify that these are generic drivers and might be missing features present in OEM provided drivers.
