There was recently news posted about Google testing a new “entertainment device” in the homes of their employees. This device is expected to turn up in the public eye sooner than expected. According to ‘The Wall Street Journal’, this product is scheduled to be launched later this year. The highlight of this product is that it will be sold under Google’s own brand!
This home entertainment center is said to feature a system that allows wireless streaming of music to Google-made speakers and other devices thhroughout people’s homes, we may also see coming up of video streaming along with it. The product will run a version of the versatile operating system and is presumed to feature tight integration with Android smartphones and tablets. Rumors of Apple branded television around the same time as Google’s TV device will kick start the living room war. This new project by Google also sounds very similar to Google’s project Tungsten which was demonstrated last year.
