Nokia 2.2 with MediaTek Helio A22 SoC, 5.71-inch HD+ 19:9 display launched in India

As announced earlier by HMD Global, which manages Nokia in India announced the Nokia 2.2 earlier and it is finally launched now. It is Nokia’s new budget smartphone running on Android One and is the successor to the last year’s Nokia 2.1. It has a 5.71-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop-style notch. The Nokia 2.2 is powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 12nm SoC along with 3GB of RAM, runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with 2 years of Android and 3 years of security updates. Nokia also promises that the Nokia 2.2 would be one of the first devices to get the Android Q update.

Coming to the camera, it has a 13MP rear camera with AI-powered low light mode along with HDR. And on the front, we have a 5MP sensor which is also used for face unlock. Unfortunately, the device lacks a fingerprint sensor. It also has a dedicated Google Assistant Button and a dedicated slot for the MicroSD card. The device packs a 3000 mAh removable battery and Nokia has changeable Xpress-on covers in Pink Sand, Ice Blue, and Forest Green colors.

The Nokia 2.2 will be available in Steel and Tungsten Black colors and is priced at Rs.6999 for the 2GB RAM + 16GB internal storage version and Rs.7999 for the 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage version. The pricing announced now is limited until June 30th after which the price would be increased as announced by the company. It will be up for pre-orders from Nokia and will go on sale from June 11th through the Nokia store, Flipkart, and offline retailers.
