Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 Android running smartphones and Nokia 3310 reboot announced at #MWC17

Nokia phones are back and we know it already. Well, with new announcements released today, Nokia partnering with HMD global is back in smartphone business. At their #MWC17 press conference, Nokia announced the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and earlier announced Nokia 6 for global rollout.

Keeping in mind the integrity of Nokia as a brand, HMD has made sincere efforts to keep up to it. These smartphones announced have three things in common, similar design language, mid range hardware nothing like how so much for so less, and they all run on pure Android. Yep, pure native stock Android with no UI customizations, no bloatware and regular platform & security updates.

We can’t talk much about the smartphones without actually holding it, so here are their specifications for a glance.

Nokia 3

  • 5-inch HD Corning Gorilla Glass display
  • MediaTek 6737 Quad-core processor
  • 16GB of storage, expansion up to 128GB via microSD card
  • 2GB RAM
  • 8MP rear camera, 8MP front-facing wide angle camera
  • Android Nougat 7.1.1

Nokia 3 will be available for €139

Nokia 5

Nokia 5 will be available for €189

Nokia 6

  • 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor
  • 3GB / 4GB LPDDR3 RAM, 32GB / 64GB internal memory, expandable memory up to 128GB with microSD
  • Fingerprint Sensor
  • 16MP rear camera with PDAF, 1.0um sensor, dual-tone LED flash, 8MP front-facing wide angle camera
  • Android Nougat 7.1.1
  • Dual speakers, Dual smart amplifiers (TFA9891), Dolby Atmos
  • Dual SIM
  • 3000mAh built-in battery

Nokia 6 comes in Matte Black, Tempered Blue, Silver and Copper color options and is priced at €229. The Nokia 6 Special Edition in Arte Black color, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at €299.

Nokia 3310

Lastly Nokia 3310 reboot is real. It should be coming along with other handsets. It will be available for €49. No official news on the availability though.

All of these smartphones will be available globally from Day 1 sometime in Q2 this year.
