Looks like OnePlus is planning to launch “something special” on August 25. OnePlus will probably announce a new pair of earphones, possibly a model to succeed their Icons. Just in case, if you are unaware of OnePlus Icons – these were priciest earphones OnePlus has ever made. The company also made a ‘blind listening’ test promo video suggesting their product sound better than (what looks like) the Sennheiser IE80. And today OnePlus published a 30-second teaser video on its Official YouTube Channel, featuring a soundtrack that is eerily similar to what you might hear in a 1970’s porno flick. The teaser clip shows a vinyl being spun around, with a V2 symbol in the middle of it.
So what’s it gonna be, a set of USB Type-C headphones or earbuds? What if OnePlus isn’t announcing new headphones, and actually surprise us with a new phone? We’ll see about that on August 25. Until then, sit back and relax.
