Oneplus has just launched the long-awaited Nord 2 5G. It is the direct successor of the last year’s mid-ranger Oneplus Nord 5G which was powered by Snapdragon 765G. The new mid-ranger is powered by the flagship Mediatek Dimensity 1200 AI, 50MP rear camera with Sony IMX766 sensor, and much more. Let’s talk all about the device.
The Oneplus Nord is powered by the 6nm Mediatek Dimensity 1200 AI, which is made in collaboration with MediaTek to enhance the normal Dimensity 1200 SoC’s AI-based features for the Nord. The chip is coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The device sports a 6.43-inch 90Hz FHD+ Fluid AMOLED display with sRGB and DCI-P3 colour gamut, video enhancement and AI-Super resolution.
The device comes with a triple rear camera setup in which the main sensor is a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP monochromic camera. In the front, the device has a 32MP front camera housed in the punch hole. The main rear camera supports OIS. The device is fuelled by a 4500mAh dual-cell battery with support for 65W Warp Charge. A 65W warp charger is also included in the box.
The device has a beautiful 3D AG glass body that feels premium to hold. The device retains the Oneplus’s signature Alert slider and also has support for 1, 3, 28, 40, 41, 78, 79 5G bands which is more than what the Oneplus 9 series supports. The device runs on OxygenOS 11.3 based on Android 11 out of the box and is also the first device to ship with OxygenOS 11.3.
The device is launched three beautiful colors, which are: Blue Haze, Gray Sierra, and Green Wood. The Oneplus Nord 2 5G is priced for Rs. 27,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB variant, Rs.29,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and Rs. 34,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB variant. The device will be available to the existing Red Cable Club members on 26th July and 27th July via the Red Cable First Sale on oneplus.in, OnePlus Store app & OnePlus Experience Stores whereas others can buy it on open sale from July 28th on Oneplus store, Amazon, and partner stores across the country.
