OnePlus Z that might be know as OnePlus 8 Lite might launch in July

The OnePlus 8 series had just been announced and we all were expecting the devices to be launched at a slightly lower price point matching the OnePlus 7T footsteps. But since OnePlus has been excellent in providing the value for money devices with some compromises. But this time with the launch of OnePlus 8 Series, the “Never Settle” portraying OnePlus had decided not to cut any corners and delivered an excellent device. But an excellent device comes at a price, and most of the Oneplus fans were not happy with the pricing of the device. But there’s good news for those fans who were waiting for an OnePlus device to be priced at Under INR 30,000 ($400).

There has been speculation going on for a while for a budget variant of the OnePlus 8 device and it turns out it would be called the OnePlus Z according to some sources. While the official naming is not yet available but still the device would be the OnePlus 8 Lite, which would be an affordable offering from OnePlus. The OnePlus Z would be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000 chipset and a punch-hole display.

Talking about the specifications, the OnePlus Z would feature at least 8GB RAM as this has been gold standard now, and OnePlus would not like to compromise on this. In terms of storage than will definitely be 128GB and 256GB storage variants, but as this is a budget device and there could be a 64GB storage variant just to cut down the starting price of the OnePlus Z. In terms of camera, the device could feature the same camera setup as of the OnePlus 7 that we had seen last year. Triple cameras setup consisting of a 48MP primary sensor, a 16MP secondary lens, and a 12MP unit. In terms of biometrics, we are not sure if OnePlus will go for the In-Screen fingerprint sensor or a physical fingerprint sensor. Let’s hope we see the in-screen fingerprint sensor. And in terms of charging, there is no doubt that the device will feature the Warp Charge technology most probably the Warp Charge 30T.

The famous tipster Max J. A teaser image of sorts shows an outline of the OnePlus Z with a centered punch-hole display and the words July 2020 written across. And this would be a great addon to the OnePlus’s portfolio as the previous budget device that OnePlus had, was the OnePlus X which was a great compact device but had so many issues that OnePlus decided to kill the series. Let’s hope the device arrives in India soon and this could be a real competition to the Pixel 4A that is also launching in the coming months and the iPhone SE (2020). Stay tuned for more information on this.
