HTC today on 29th January 2013 updated their Android flagship in India from One X to the HTC Butterfly.
As we reported earlier, HTC today launched the Butterfly in India for best buy (MOP) price of Rs. 45,990. We were too present at the launch event and got a hands-on the device.
First thing to come in notice is the 1080p display obviously. The HTC butterfly flaunts an insane 5-inch true HD 1080p display that is 1920×1080 pixels resolution Super LCD 3 display with Corning® Gorilla® Glass 2 protections boasting a 440ppi which is the highest pixel density ever available for a mobile screen.
The design truely lives up to what was expected from HTC. The smooth glossy finish and microgrill pattern of the sidewalls depicts the effort HTC has put into looks. The beautifully crafted smartphone feels thinner than other devices of a similar size as the edges of the curved back taper to a mere 4mm for a comfortable feel in the hand or pocket.
Talking about the technical specifications it features a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with 2 GB RAM and 16GB memory. This time HTC has given an option to expand the memory storage via a microSD card slot. They have also partnered with DropBox to provide 25GB cloud storage for free.
The smart phone runs the Android 4.1 codemaned as Jelly Bean with the latest HTC Sense 4.0+ UI layer to provide the seamless Android experience with a lot of customizable features powered by a 2020 mAh battery.
With an 8-megapixel f/2.0 28mm wide-angle lens, 5-level automatic flash, backside illuminated sensor (BSI), and superfast autofocus, the HTC butterfly has the ability to capture great shots even in low-lighting.
It also includes a new best-in-class 2.1-megapixel, f/2.0, 88-degree, ultra-wide angle, front-facing camera that allows more to be captured in self-portraits, and up to four people for group shots as seen on the HTC 8X.
Both the rear camera and the front camera has the capability to shoot full 1080p HD videos.
Beats audio amplifier as seen in the earlier models is too built-in the device to deliver crystal clear studio kinda sound quality.
