Hands On: Samsung Galaxy SIII

Samsung unveiled their latest flagship in India on 31 May 2012 at its capital. The device was launched by the Bollywood new entrant, Nargis Fakhri along with other Samsung executives. The device has been priced at 43,180 INR as the MRP which is a big disappointment.

We were too present at the event and got a chance to get our hands on the device. Look below for our first impressions of the new Galaxy.

The device’s giant 12.2 cm ie: 4.8″ Super AMOLED HD screen with a resolution of 1280X720 (306 ppi) is pretty impressive. Its slim and rounded design with just 8.6mm thickness and a weight of 133g, gives a good grip to handle. The only factor which take it down is its plastic body.

The camera is 8mp nothing different than what one x or the predecessor SII have but yeah some intelligent features like burst shot with zero shutter lag and best photo makes it something different. Its front-side 1.9mp camera, can too record HD.

The device’s browsing works really great and loads pages within seconds, note that it was connected to a 3G data network.

The S-voice feature really works and understands Indian English accent too.

The device is loaded with Samsung’s Touchwiz UI nothing different, on Android 4.0 aka ICS. Now what makes this device different from the others? Is it worth its price?
