HTC Desire Q announced , sports a 4 inch screen ,5 MP Camera and a 1GHz CPU .

Two devices were rumored – the HTC Desire P and the HTC Desire Q. After the HTC Desire P just got officially announced earlier this week we have it’s rumored brother , the HTC Desire Q getting official news. HTC Desire Q has gone on sale in Taiwan for $234 equivalent to 12,700INR.

Both these were aimed at the mid-range markets and both share design aspects and specifications with a few hardware differences.

Specifications at a glance :

  • 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM
  • 4-inch WVGA display
  • 4GB internal storage, micro-SD card slot
  • 5MP rear camera with LED flash
  • Wi-Fi,Bluetooth, 3G
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • 1,650mAh battery

Clearly the HTC Desire Q is the low-end one out of the two – while the HTC Desire P gets a 1 GHz dual-core CPU , the one on the HTC Desire Q is a single-core one. While the Desire P comes with the latest Android 4.1 JellyBean OS , the Desire Q is still running on Android 4.0 ICS. Also , there is no front facing camera on the HTC Desire Q.

Beats audio is now becoming a standard feature on HTC phones and the Desire Q also gets it. This phone has only launched in Taiwan as of today but we expect it to come to Indian markets soon.
