Indian telecom carrier, Idea has launched a budget 3G smartphone dubbed as ID 4000 in India. The smartphone shall be available in Idea 3G markets across 11 circles in the country. Idea has collectively sold more than 7 lakh handsets of its earlier 3G smartphones.Idea’s budget 3G smartphone runs on Google’s Android 4.2 Jelly Bean mobile operating system, which is rather outdated.
The Idea Id 4000 3G Smartphone will come with a special offer for Idea 3G users offering 3G data benefits of 1.6 GB 3G data and Free Idea TV for 3 months, with a pack priced at Rs. 259 for existing subscribers, and 1.6 GB 3G data and Free Idea TV for 3 months, with a pack priced at Rs. 261 for new subscribers.

The new Idea ID 4000 will be made available in select regions of India – Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, Maharashtra and Goa, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh (E) and Uttar Pradesh (W) for ₹6,890.
