Lenovo has announced Vibe X2, the company’s latest smartphone in the X series at the IFA 2014. It is Lenovo’s first ever 64-bit octa-core smartphone, which has an improved battery efficiency by 20%. It is the world’s first layered smartphone with gradient three layer design. Lenovo Vibe X2 will be available in two variants – dual-SIM that will be available in Asia-Pacific region, and single SIM for other countries.
Lenovo Vibe X2 sports a 5-inch full-HD display powered by MediaTek MT6595 octa-core processor and 2GB RAM, the phone comes with 32GB internal storage.The smartphone also features a wide angle front-camera for enhanced selfies.
The smartphone has new innovative click-on accessories, known as VIBE Xtensions, VIBE X2 speaker and VIBE X2 Battery. The Xtension cases add another layer to the VIBE X2’s multi-layer design. The VIBE X2 Battery layer is 5.1mm thick that protects the phone and extends the battery life up to 75 percent. The VIBE X2 speaker offers better audio and has built-in mic for group conference calls.
The Lenovo Vibe X2 comes in White, Red, Gold and Dark Grey colors and is priced at US$399 (Rs. 24,000 approx.)
