CES 2015: LG announces G Flex 2 featuring Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor

LG has announced the launch of G Flex 2 which is a successor to LG’s first curved smartphone LG G Flex. The device is smaller than its predecessor but more powerful. LG G Flex 2 will be the first smartphone that would sport Qualcomm’s latest processing package – Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor. LG have also improved upon the build quality of the device and now the device is not easy to bend and make it flat for a while.

LG G Flex 2 sports a 5.5-inch 1080p P-OLED display with the same 13MP camera as in the G3. G Flex 2 comes with improved software and some further hardware optimizations. The device will be shipped with 2 different storage capacities 16GB/32GB with 2GB/3GB RAM respectively. LG has also improved on the slick protective coating that is on the back of the phone, so that it can heal everyday scuffs and scratches faster, the self healing time has been reduced from 3 minutes to just 10 seconds. The device is also equipped with fast charging technology by which the device can regain 50 percent of its juice in under 40 minutes.

Also there are some software tweaks one of which being GlanceView that can be activated by a downward swipe from the top of the screen and it allows users to quickly check any missed notifications without having to wake up the device.

The device will be available in 2 colors- Platinum Silver and Flamenco Red.
