LG Launches The Mighty G3 In India!

LG has released it’s long awaited G3 in India for a price Rs.47,990 for the 16GB version and the Rs.50,990 for the 32GB version. The G3 will be available in three colours – metallic silver, silk white and shine gold.

Unlike any other launch event we have witnessed, LG’s keynote was given by the legend Mr.Bachchan. A true geek that he came across as, he explained all the features of the LG G3 in detail and yes, the phone is as charismatic as the man himself!

The Mantra :

“Simple is the new Smart”

Mr. Amit Gujral, Head-Marketing, Mobile Communication Division explained how LG really put effort in having a smooth transition to it’s new mantra “Simple is the new Smart” which by any means wasn’t simple at all to attain.

Display :

The Display of the LG G3 is simply put – fantastic. It’s flawless. With a QuadHD resolution, the ppi G3 attains is north of 530 – something that was only possible in magazine quality prints.

We must agree that in our hands-on time with the phone, the display looked vivid and sharp – just as advertised. Colors pop to the right extent and visibility in day light isn’t an issue at all!

Build Quality :

Want to have a phone that flaunts a metallic back design, without the bulk and fingerprint madness? LG has cooked a perfect recipe : the back of the phone comes across as metallic – even though it’s not and looks strikingly attractive and does a great job at keeping fingerprints at bay.

Camera :

LG has revolutionized camera technology and we cannot complaint about anything in this segment. The Camera on the G3 has some almost sci-fi tech : An optically stabilized lens unit with a 13MP sensor which is assisted by a laser guided focusing system to track the subject and focus in seconds.

Accessories :

LG wouldn’t just stop here, they went on to announce that the G3 would be supported by a wide range of accessories from a wireless charger, a quick circle case to the Tone Infinim bluetooth headset and the even the G Watch!

G- Watch :

In the brief time we shared with the LG G-watch, one thing was clear – it was a great extension of your digital life on your wrist, it does more than just showing notifications. If you buy a G3, then you get an additional discount of Rs.5000 on the G watch.
