The 7″ Galaxy tab was Samsung’s first tablet and was good, but not the best. Then the Kindle Fire came out and showed Samsung how it’s done, Samsung has been looking to capture the tablet market from quite some time now, they brought the 10.1″, 8.9″, 5.5″ Galaxy note, another successor of the 7″ named Tab plus, but all their experiments did not create a huge impact, and looking at the Kindle Fire sales they have realized that consumers need cheap tablets and not of various sizes, this is where the Galaxy Tab 2 comes into play!
The spec sheet of the Tab2 is not really great which according to me means that the cost will be on the down low, it will be running on a 1 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM and 8GB/16GB/32GB of storage space. It also comes with a 3 MP rear shooter and a VGA camera in the front, it will run on a 4000 mAh battery which is quite great. And the best part is that the Tab 2 will be launching with Android 4.0 but with Touchwiz on top(SAD!), this device has everything, the right size, average processor, great O.S, and really great battery, now Samsung will takeover the market only if they price it right! This device will go on sale in March in U.K, and will be followed by the rest of the world. It will be really great to see the next move by Samsung to capture the mobile device space, so stay tuned for more news!
