The Government has faced tremendous pressure to supply a low-cost tablet and they have now focused on the Aakash-2 which will probably cost the same as the Aakash tablet. HRD Minister Kapil Sibal has told, “The government is taking keen interest to produce more Aakash 2 which is in full demand. The upgraded product caters to the customers’ needs. W’ve included IIT for upgrading it. We will be launching Aakash 2 by April.” So, we can expect to see the tablets be in the hands of pre-booked customers by mid-April.
