Asus has just launched its Quad-Core Tegra 3 powered Android Tablet, the Eee Pad Transformer Prime in India although it was unveiled last November. It is priced at Rs. 49,999 which is a bit pricey if you ask me but it has some beastly specs to match up with its high price.
The Transformer Prime features a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800), LED backlit Super IPS display powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor backed up by 1GB RAM, 32/64GB ROM, 8.0 MP rear and 1.2 MP front cameras and battery that lasts up to 12 hours. All this in a 8.3 mm waistline. It probably comes with Honeycomb but the Ice Cream Sandwich update has been out for a while now. It also comes with an optional docking station that gives an additional 6 hours of battery and a large, comfortable chicklet keyboard with a multi-touchpad, SD Card reader and a USB port.
The 64 GB version of the tablet is priced at Rs. 49,999 but there is no word on the 32 GB version. The tablet is one of a beast in its looks and under the hood but we do believe it has been overpriced. So are you getting one ?
