After all the bashing Asus got when it was found out that Asus’s beastly Transformer Prime had an locked bootloader, the company promised to bring a bootloader unlocking tool for the tablet in February, and it has lived up to the promise. The bootloader unlocking tool for the Transformer Prime is now available for download.
The tool is a simple .apk file which you download, move to your tablet and install. After that, you’re ready to rock any custom ROM you like, but you need to have the Ice Cream Sandwich update on the device. If you install the tool, Asus warns you that your warranty will be void, and it won’t be responsible if you do any damage to your tablet.
