We heard a few hours ago that AT&T’s HTC Vivid was receiving the Ice Cream Sandwich update and now AT&T has confirmed this by issuing an statement that the HTC Vivid receiving the ICS update starting today and it has also listed ten smartphones which will receive the much awaited Ice Cream Sandwich update.
As we know HTC Vivid is already receiving the update, other smartphones in the list which will receive the update are:
LG Nitro
Motorola Atrix 4G, Atrix 2
Pantech Burst, Element
Samsung Captivate Glide, Galaxy Note, Galaxy S II, Galaxy S II Skyrocket, and Galaxy Tab 8.9
AT&T didn’t exactly specify the timeframe when these handsets will receive the update but they use the common phrase “coming months”. Motorola specified that its two Atrix smartphones will receive the update in Q3 in US so we can expect the same for most AT&T devices but it is stilll a long long wait.
