CyanogenMod has announced that the AT&T Galaxy S II will be getting CM9 based on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and its now receiving nightlies of the same. CyanogenMod announced on its Google+ page that the first nightly for the AT&T Galaxy S II is now live. Now, they use the “i777” name for the device which is the model number instead of the “galaxys2att” name they used for CM7.
The announcement also brought us some clues as to which devices we can expect to receive these nightlies:
“You are smart folks, we’re sure we don’t have to hand you a note to figure it out… no sky rocket scientists needed 😉 (/bad puns)”
So, does this mean, we could now expect CM9 nightlies for the Galaxy Note and Skyrocket? Well, we would like to think so!
