News: Galaxy Note to get ICS + Premium Suite update in Q2

When Samsung had announced its plans on Ice Cream Sandwich updates, the South Korean company has said that Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note would be the first to get the update and they’ll receive it by Q1 end and recently Galaxy S II received the update but we came across news that the ICS update has been delayed to Q2 and now we may well have more insight as to why the phone-tablet hybrid is getting delayed in the Update proceedings as Samsung has announced that the Galaxy Note would be getting the Android 4.0 update with some additional Premium Suite apps.

The Premium Suite software comes with the My Store app as well. Users can utilize this to create digital cards by adding in notes, video content, photos, text or voice clips.

“Galaxy Note continues to delight customers all over the world with its incredible versatility and unique user experience. With the Premium Suite upgrade, we wanted to add features that enrich users’ Note experience even more, including the great advantages of Android 4.0 and innovative applications for S Pen,” expressed JK Shin, President of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics. “We are committed to providing extraordinary experiences for consumers, and we will continue to provide new features and upgrades to enrich our offering.”

To provide users a more convenient method of jotting down notes through the S Pen, the company has brought forth the S Note tool that apparently makes combining sketches with digital content much easier. This offering also incorporates the Shape Match and Formula Match applications which are most likely to enhance users’ productivity through its acclaimed capabilities of digitizing geometric shapes and solving numeric formulas, while on the go.

The update will also bring the latest Android version to the huge smartphone which will bring users an intuitive experience through fresh visual offerings and a better menu interface that should make multitasking more convenient than before. ICS-exclusive tools such as Face Unlock, Snapshot, Android Beam and various others are also included within the update.

Along with the update Samsung will also bring the exclusive Angry Birds Space game with 30 new excitng levels. The update is coming in Q2 but we don’t know the exact rollout. “The availability and scheduling of the software upgrade will vary by market and wireless carriers’ requirements”.
