News : Gionee launches Dream D1 – its new high-end flagship device.

Gionee, a Chinese company that is taking up the news for it’s new smartphones is now out with Dream D1 – a new smartphone with a 4.65 inch HD Super AMOLED plus display protected by a Gorilla Glass 2. The company says it’s their “most advanced smartphone in India” so let’s see how well it stacks up against the competition.

The ultra slim D1 measures 8.6mm sideways and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor Cortex A7 processor paired with a PowerVR5 XT GPU. It is buffered by a 1 GB RAM and offer’s 4GB of onboard storage and Gionee is giving along a 16GB memory card along to extend it.The Gionee Dream D1 runs on Android 4.1 JellyBean with Gionee’s own User Interface. The 4.6 inches 720p HD comes to a pixel density of 316 which should be decent enough.

The rear camera is an 8 megapixel rear shooter with Back Side Illumination sensor(BSI) with Panorama and Burst Shots and  is also capable of taking 720p HD videos . The front camera is 1 megapixel shooter which does video calling.

The Dream D1 offers Dual Sim – Dual standby capabilities and houses 2100mAh battery. It can keep you connected with WiFi,3G and microUSB The Dream D1 comes in a Graphite Black color and it is priced 17,999INR.
