HTC already laid out its Android 4.0 update plans for its various smartphones, saying that the Sensation-line of its models will be the first to get the update starting March, and the other devices will soon follow. Now they have confirmed plans for their North American line-up of smartphones.
According to new Facebook post named “Ice Cream Sandwich Updates: The North American Edition”, HTC details a couple more handsets that made the cut for Ice Cream Sandwich in the US and Canada. Rezound on Verizon was already listed as getting the update, and now Thunderbolt, Rhyme, and Droid Incredible 2 are added to the list of handsets getting the Ice Cream Sandwich update with Sense 4.0. HTC has also confirmed ICS for the Raider 4G on Canadian carriers. HTC previously announced that AT&T’s Raider, the Vivid, would get the much-awaited update.
If your HTC handset was not featured on the list, then you can still wait, since the post ends with a statement saying “stay tuned for more ICS releases.”
