Samsung has been very successful with its recent low budget Android phones with the likes of Samsung Galaxy Y and Galaxy Pocket selling in huge numbers and the Koreans have been very clever by adding dual-sim functionalities to their Android budget line-up like Galaxy Y Duos, Galaxy Ace Duos and others which have certainly made them a great buy in emerging markets and now Samsung has just unveiled the Galaxy Pocket Duos which is the most affordable dual-sim Android by the Korean company.
The device sports a 2.8-inch QVGA display, a 832MHz single-core CPU and 2GB of internal memory, you can expand that further via the microSD card slot. There’s a 2MP fixed-focus snapper on the back. It measures at 103,9 x 57,9 x 12,98 mm and weighs just over 100 grams, it is surely one of the most compact phone in a market where bigger is better. It features a modest 1,200mAh battery which is rated at 15 hours of talk-time in 2G and 6 hours in 3G.
The pricing and availability is not yet known but we can expect it to be in the lower segment and below the Galaxy Y Duos which is the most affordable dual-sim solution by Samsung at €120.
