It seems that the new smartphones have become accostomed to having a display issue or a tint or something. We recently came across news that the Xperia S users were seeing some yellowish hue on the display and now Sony has been quick to admit that some displays on Xperia S devices have some issues.
The yellowish hue is said to be heat related. Sony said in a statement that it’d “identified that the display on a limited number of Xperia S smartphones may show a slight yellow tint if exposed to temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius.” Sony also claimed that it will affect a very short number of those Xperia S devices out there.
The 4.6-inch 1280×720 “Reality Display” of the Xperia S is one of the main selling points of the device and its nice to see Sony admitting it quickly about the issues of the display and replacing the faulty devices.
