News: Un-Official GAPPs Package now available for CyanogenMod ROM

For all those using custom ROMs out there, we all know GAPPs is an important factor when a choosing a ROM to flash even though as Pocketnow notes GAPPs are usually distributed separately from the ROMs themselves.

Cyanogen got a C&D order from Google which made most custom ROMs ship without GAPPs, and you have to get your GAPPs somewhere else which is quite inconvenient for any user. The standard location to get GAPPS is http://goo-inside.me/gapps#table but an ICS version of GAPPs was not available on the site and had to be found somewhere else and now we’re happy to tell you that though unofficially, the GAPPs package is now available for Android 4.01-4.03 CyanogenMod 9 ROM at Goo-Inside .

But there’s a problem for users already running a custom ROM and a different GAPPs package, you’ll have to setup a full-data wipe to install the new GAPPs package and the same data-wipe process if you want to go back on the old GAPPs package.
