Panasonic Eluga U Android KitKat Smartphone Launched In India!

Panasonic has dropped one of it’s hottest series of Eluga smartphones in India. The first smartphone in this range is called the Panasonic Eluga U, and it is priced at Rs 18,990.

Display :

The Eluga U is priced aggressively to compete with other phones in the sub 20k price range and it does so without breaking a sweat. The phone has a nice and vibrant 5 inch 720p display on the front with Corning Gorilla Glass fused for extra protection.

Build Quality :

The build quality of the Panasonic Eluga U is a surprising refresh and a step outside the conventional and average build of the phones in this price segment. Panasonic says that they have installed a textured glass back and it indeed looks handsome.

The glass is also shatter proof so all that beauty does not take away the sense of security.

Performance :

The performance of the Eluga U is fluid and reliable. This has been possible since Panasonic is sourcing the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor for the Eluga U. There is also 2 GB of RAM to help apps run fluidly and without any lag.

FitHome UI / Performance :

Panasonic has taken time out and studies user behavior to come up with this solution. The FitHome UI is an app drawer or their custom UI that helps the user navigate easily without using two hands. A single finger/ thumb is enough to get through from anywhere to anywhere else on your phone. Otherwise, the UI generally behaves well and impressed us.

It comes with Android 4.4.2 KitKat onboard which is a plus since you get the Eluga U with the latest version of Android already.

Camera :

The camera on the back of the phone is a 13MP camera with a 2MP camera on the front. Both the cameras seem to do a fantastic job at capturing the right moment even under challenging lighting conditions.

Overall we are really impressed by the Panasonic Eluga U on first impressions. The company has priced this phone well and we believe that there is enough reason for any user to consider Panasonic when they’re looking into the sub 20 thousand price segment. We shall go more in-depth in our full review.
