Samsung earlier today announced their new budget-friendly mini tablets; the Galaxy Grand and Galaxy Grand Duos, Notes on the cheap.
Both devices will run on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean with 5-inch WVGA (800×480) TFT LCD screens and dual core 1.2GHz processors. Both have Bluetooth 4.0, 8GB user memory with the possibility of up to 64GB expansion through the microSD card slot.
The battery is fairly standard at 2,100mAh. On the front you’ll find a 2MP HD webcam and the rear has an 8MP snapper. Connectivity is a blast as both devices are equipped with WiFi and HSPA+. For obvious reasons, the Grand Duos is the dual sim variant of the Grand.
Pricing and availability hasn’t been revealed but it’s safe to say that it should launch in the first quarter of 2013. Stay tuned for more.
