YU Yureka Plus announced for INR 9,999

Micromax owned subsidiary YU has launched Yu Yureka Plus, an improved version of YU Yureka with full HD display and rugged chassis. The device will be exclusively made available on Amazon.in and is priced at INR 9,999. The highlight of the device is its toughness. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and the body is protected by reinforced chassis and a sturdy polycarbonate back panel.

The device sports a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, compared to a 5.5-inch HD display on the YUREKA. Under the hood lies a mid range Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor (64-bit). Also the plus variant features a 13-megapixel front camera with Sony IMX214 sensor, compared to Sony IMX135 sensor on the YUREKA and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone runs on Cyanogen OS 12 based on Android Lollipop out-of-the-box.
