Apple iPhone 5C Hands on at Launch.

Apple and its partners unveiled the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c in India on Friday to an enthusiastic response, with customers lining up in huge numbers at almost all stores in major cities across the country.

While the official launch was slated for 5 PM , customers who long awaited the iPhone were lined up since almost 8 AM in the morning. As expected the Gold iPhone 5s was in most demand and Apple had already confirmed the shortage of Gold iPhone 5s. Although no official stats were given it seemed the iPhone 5S was in much more demand than the iPhone 5C.

iPhone 5s comes with the Apple-designed A7 64-bit chip, all-new 8 megapixel iSight camera with True Tone flash and Touch ID fingerprint sensor. iPhone 5c features an all-new design, comes in multiple colours and packs internals almost identical to the iPhone 5.

Getting some hands-on time with the iPhone 5C we can confirm that it is no slouch in performance nor is it a compromise in build . Apple says that it is “unapologetically plastic” which is true , the phone doesn’t squeak when applied force and it is very strong but only a bit glossy on the downside to catch fingerprints.

The internals of the iPhone 5C are same as the last years iPhone 5 and that means it is an overall excellent performer. The display is the same retina display with more than 320ppi and it is gorgeous and sharp and bright even in direct sunlight.

The camera is the Same 8MP iSight camera. It is a great shooter and does really good HD video too but however it misses the new DouTone flash that is present on the iPhone 5S.

The IPhone 5S is available in 5 Vibrant colors and is priced for  Rs. 53,500 for the 16GB model, Rs. 62,500 for the 32GB model and Rs. 71,500 for the 64GB model. iPhone 5c will be available for Rs. 41,900 for the 16GB model and Rs. 53,500 for the 32GB model. All prices are inclusive of all taxes.
