Things are looking good for LG Electronics. Their TV and mobile businesses are booming. Let’s take an in depth look at their financials
In Q4 2011 they recorded U$12,05 Billion in revenue with U$20 Millions profits, yet they made a U$97,73 Million loss. For the whole year they report a revenue of U$48,97 Billion with a net loss of U$391 Million. Their operating profits improved significantly from U$153 Million in 2010 to U$253 Million in 2011.
The mobile division grew nicely. In Q4 they made U$2,42 Billion in sales which ensured them an operating profit of U$10 Million. For the full 2011 they made a total of U$10,55 Billion’s worth of sales, down 9,9% from 2010. Their smart phone sales declined though from 21,1 Million to 17,7 Million.
For 2012 they’re targeting a revenue of U$53,8 Billion while spending U$1,5 Billion in capital and investing U$2,4 Billion in R&D. We’ll continue to keep you updated on all things LG including their latest products and services.
