According to reports, Apple is planning to hold a media-related event in January at New York City. Well we shouldn’t get excited right now because it seems the event will be on the smaller scale and focusing around publishing and advertising.
So it would be really surprising if they do something out of character and launch a new iPad or the much rumored iTV hence we should keep our expectations related to these out of our mind for now.
Moreover what truly indicates that the event would revolve around publishing and advertising is the involvement of Apple Senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services Eddy Cue. For those of you unaware of Cue, he is the one related with many Apple’s media units such as the App Store, iTunes Store, iAd, iCloud and iBookStore. We can expect some improvement in the iBooks and iCloud segment with this event and we may hear a announcement or two related to these media centric services.
