News: Nokia N9 gets some Ice-cream Sandwich treatment

The N9 is just a few months away from turning one year old and besides being praised by many for its Swipe UI, it had brought something that it’s older ‘brother’ the N900 was famous for; hackability.

The NITDroid team, who brought Android to the N900 a while ago, has ported Android 4.0 to the Nokia N9. Alexey Roslyakov, part of NITDroid, tweeted the image above of a N9 running ICS and added the title “progress”. It looks like they still have a long way to go, but hard work is likely to pay off. The N9’s lack of physical buttons helps a lot in its case, making it an ideal candidate.
