Nokia announced a day ago that the Nokia Lumia 610, the lowest priced Windows Phone which it showcased at the MWC in Barcelona, will hit the Asian markets at the end of April and the first country that will recieve it is Phillipines.
Following it, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam are expected to recieve the phone in the starting of May. There is no news yet as to when the phone will be avilable in India. The phone is said to be priced around €189 and there is no news yet as to whether the Asian version will feature NFC support or not.
The phone also packs along features like a 3.5″ LCD screen, a 5MP 720p HD camera at the back with LED Flash, 256 MB of RAM and 8GB of storage. The 256 MB of RAM is a bit annoying and questionable considering the phone is running Windows Phone “Tango”. Well, it seemed to be working fine when tested during the MWC during a hands-on by some persons but only time will tell. But a Windows Phone at such a decent and low price, is surely a treat for the persons who want to try out the new Windows Phone platform but at a lower cost.
