New: Samsung Claims to have Shipped 5 Million Galaxy Notes, Launching it in Japan on 6th April with LTE

We all know for sure that Samsung Galaxy Note has been the most successful hybrid phone in its class and this is now supported by the statement in which Samsung announced that they have managed to sell 5 Million units of Galaxy Note since its launch. This figure may not be as much compared to the SGSII but still for a 5″ display phone, it sure is big.

The number can expect a sudden increase as the company is now launching the phone in japan on 6th April along with a carrier. The carrier NTT Docomo has already announced on its website that it will be introducing an LTE-equipped variant of the phone, which will be code named -“Docomo Next Series Galaxy Note SC-05D”.

The specifications of this Galaxy Note will be different then the one already available as it will feature a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor in place of a 1.4GHz one and it will be a 32GB variant, White in Color and will run on Android Gingerbread 2.3.5. The Note will be the third in the league after SGSII and LG Optimus to be offered with LTE in Japan over the same carrier. Though there is now word on the pricing yet but the pre-booking for handset has already started.
