News: Samsung has no Plans to Buy RIM

Today we came across a crazy rumor stating that RIM wanted Samsung to takeover the company. While it seemed to be just a rumor, it led to RIM stocks jumping by 10 %. Due to this, Samsung has come out in open denying it. A Samsung spokesman said,

We haven’t considered acquiring the firm and are not interested in (buying RIM) !

The rumors always seemed crazy, because Samsung’s plate seems too full already with feature phones, its own Bada OS, Android, Windows Phone, and the recent commitment with Meego’s successor, Tizen. It seems quite strange to even think Samsung would want any other OS or company in its stable.
