News: Sony Xperia S launched in India for a price tag of Rs 32,549

Though it was already available on many online stores in India before its launch, Sony Xperia S has now officially hit the Indian Market with its launch 2 days ago and is bundled along with a pretty decent price tag of INR 32,549 ,which is quite decent considering the specifications it comes bundled along with.

The phone is presently among the top end line phones of Sony and is the first phone to be launched under the Sony name after Sony’s Ericsson acquisition. The phone sadly still runs the Gingerbread OS ( Android 2.3 ) but is planned to receive ICS updates in the following months soon enough though the similarity of the Timescape UI will persist.

The phone comes bundled along with a 4.3″ LED backlit LCD HD touchscreen with Sony Mobile BRAVIA engine, a 1.5GHz Dual-Core processor, 1GB RAM, 32GB of in-built storage, 12MP with LED flash and 1080p Full HD video recording support and a 1.3 Megapixel camera with 720p video recording support in the front and much more.
