News: Sony’s Ericsson is now Sony Mobile Communication

Sony’s purchase of Ericsson’s stake in Sony Ericsson has been completed and now Sony’s reorganisation begins. Sony Ericsson will now be known as Sony Mobile Communication.SMC for short and future devices will launch under the Sony moniker. They’re said to have paid U$1,47 Billion for the stake and will now continue on their own, completely run by CEO Kazuo Hirai. Existing devices will not be renamed, but all the other coming out soon, some hopefully at MWC, will come out as Sony’s.
