Ben Rudolph’s “Smoked by Windows Phone” challenge was a huge hit at the CES in Las Vegas last year. If your phone could beat Ben’s Windows Phone in a speed test of an average task that one does on a smartphone, he’d give you $100.
Following his footsteps someone decided to try the tests on some carrier store employees. The man behind it, Brian Lalley identifies himself as being “with Windows”. It’s odd that he’s not mentioning his job title or the actual name of the company he works for as he doesn’t have anything to do with the Windows Phone team. He might be just a Windows Phone fan. Had he been a Microsoft employee, he would have certainly used better quality production tools! The interesting thing is he isn’t challenging random people, but sales people who are often found to know very little about Windows Phone. Check out the video after the break.
