CES: Microsoft’s $100 Windows Phone speed results

We had earlier reported that Microsoft was conducting $100 challenge on who could beat their Windows Phone 7 Operating System in speed and the contest gained a quite a lot of popularity among people who hoped they could ‘smoke the Windows Phone’ and the result for the challenge is out.

According to reports, Microsoft had a strict set of challanges and although the tests were somewhat limited, they were fair enough and Windows Phone resulted in 30 wins, 3 losses, and 1 draw. The attendees were asked to find the most appropriate test out of a number of typical scenarios for them, and Windows Phone won the most of the speed tests. Only 3 people were able to ‘smoke the Windows Phone’ while 30 were smokedbyWindowsPhone.
