CES: Texas Instruments to demo Windows 8 ARM tablet

Texas Instruments announced that it is going to show off an ARM based Windows 8 tablet prototype. The tablet prototype will be seen at TI’s CES booth. The OMAP4470 dual-core 1.7GHz processor will power this tablet, and we’ll get to know as to how well Windows 8 performs on a ARM chipset. It’s not just tablets TI has in its sights, the company is also pushing its ARM-based OMAP4470 as an alternative to AMD and Intel x86 processors in notebooks and desktops. We’ll certainly know more about when we get to see the demo.
