News: Is Microsoft trading basic feature phones for Windows Phones at its Stores?

The recent news and stories about the “Smoked by Windows Phone” have given the campaign some real spotlight and it has even brought light to some other stories of the campaign. There has been no talk of one aspect of the campaign that if your phone gets smoked by a Windows Phone then you can trade your old handset for a brand new Windows Phone handset for free which could be a very decent deal which depends on your current handset.

Reports say some Microsoft stores are letting people trade-in an old feature phone for a Windows Phone model, there’s only one rule, there has to basic web-access on your phones. We can’t confirm if this is Microsoft’s official way, it could just be one store.
