We reported to you recently that Windows 8 was releasing on October 8th and we were skeptical as to when the Surface tablet would release and if you are a fan of the upcoming tablet then we have some good news for you as the Tablet which Microsoft introduced in June earlier this year will be releasing on the same date as Windows 8. We have come across this report through the company’s annual report to the SEC (U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, which regulates the stock market).
The report by Microsoft said :
“The next version of our operating system, Windows 8, will be generally available on October 26, 2012. At that time, we will begin selling the Surface, a series of Microsoft-designed and manufactured hardware devices.”
We all know there are two versions of the Surface tablet, an an ARM and Windows RT based known simply as Surface, and an Intel x86 based called as Microsoft Surface Pro.
While the Surface is expected to be realesed on October 26th, the Surface Pro will probably reach the market at the start of next year. The documents don’t reveal anything else and we still await to know the price.
