After a whole week full of rumors suggesting towards a premium built upgrade to the existing flagship from Nokia (Nokia Lumia 920) , we know have some leaked specs that seem to lower the excitement. The codenamed Nokia Catwalk would apparently would have a lightweight aluminium chassis to make it stronger, lighter and more ergonomic.
The leaks were found on twitter by a guy named Flavio who seems to have access to confidential information of the upcoming devices. He had to say the following:
[Exclusive] Nokia Catwalk: S4 1.5GHz dual, 4.5″ octaOLED 1280×768, 1GB RAM 16GB ROM, 8.7Mpx f2.0 OIS, 2000mAh not remov, 129x71x8.4mm, 132g.
So summing it up the soon to come phone would have a 4.5inch OLED display with a resolution of 1280*768 which would be powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor and 1 GB of RAM. It would carry an 8.7 megapixel camera with a f.20 aperture .The dimensions of the upcoming device are expected to be 129 x 71 x 8.4mm, and it is expected to weigh-in at just 132 grams.
Interestingly the same man Flavio also says:
Nokia Catwalk, EOS rumored for a May 15 launch, on retail from late June or early July. One has a light aluminum body, the other 41Mpx cam
Scrolling back a few months about rumors about a possible Nokia and (Canon’s) EOS merger , well that might just be a reality. Flavio also pointed out that the Nokia Catwalk would be released alongwith another device (Nokia EOS) that would carry a 41 megapixel camera sensor.
